Introducing the Journalists and Lawyers for Freedom of Expression Association (JAM e.V.), founded in December 2022 in Berlin.

This dynamic sister organization to Istanbul-based MLSA is dedicated to supporting exiled journalists who have been forced to flee oppressive regimes and authoritarian environments.

JAM e.V. offers essential legal and professional assistance, fostering connections and helping integrate these brave journalists into the existing media landscape in Germany and throughout Europe.

Through innovative projects and programs, JAM e.V. aims to keep the crucial discussion on the contributions of exiled journalists alive but also to bolster their impact on both their host and home countries. By remaining steadfast in the profession from abroad, these journalists courageously continue their critical work.

JAM e.V. is also committed to ensuring the safety of journalists in exile, championing the importance of freedom of expression for all.
